THOUGHT OF THE MOMENT:

Freedom,  Prosperity and Peace...

FOREVER.

<back

Once you start looking at it this way, every new door, every new house, every new street starts to look like a magical opportunity, where YOU have been given the freedom, by virtue of a simple weapon, a clipboard and pen, to talk to everyone you can about the Libertarian Party.  And if there is one thing that Libertarians need to be doing as much of as possible, it is talking to other people about the Libertarian Party.

Do not be afraid or intimidated by petitioning. If that is what the cowards in the two major parties demand that we do to play with them, then that is what we will do.  Tough circumstances require tougher responses.

Will you bump into some people who are rude?  Yes, but rarely and so what.  Can you help if you have only a few hours to give per week?  Yes, in an ordinary neighborhood, most people can collect at least four signatures per hour.  This may not sound like much, but if you ask any candidate, every signature, every single one helps.  In fact, what you will often find is that many people will thank you for being out there. You will be amazed at the energy you receive when someone takes the time to acknowledge your efforts. There is a respect that you earn when you knock on someone’s door to ask for help getting another choice on the ballot, whether they sign or not.  In fact, even making people say ‘no’ to you is a good thing as it forces them to have to at a minimum, think about the issue.

If you have or are currently petitioning for a Libertarian candidate, thank you; you are a true hero within the party.

If you have not, please consider joining, and increasing the number of Libertarian petitioners outfitted with a truly great weapon: a petition clipboard and a pen.

With much love and respect.
